Geek Chic! This month's event is something a bit different! We may be geeks but we are still girls! We've had a few discussions at other events about what we wear to work - does everyone remember the one time you wore a skirt to the office in 2007? Do you feel like you get taken less seriously if you look too glamorous? Or perhaps like me, you work from home and you're coding away right now in your pyjamas and a pair of red wellington boots? 

We've managed to get together a load of interesting fashion-related stuff, but we haven't got a sponsor for the food - so here's what's happening:

• BYO FOOD: Please bring a dish to share - salad, crisps, nibbles or a bottle of wine or a soft drink - I will hopefully remember to bring plates and cups!
• THE TALK: We will have an inspiring talk from geek-friendly style expert Sam Bell - Bristol's friendliest, award-winning stylist. 
• FREE STUFF: We may not have free food this time but we have got lots of free stuff! We're going to have a free-to-enter fashion-related raffle! We've got a bunch of 'Geekette' T-shirts and a software licence from Telerik to give away plus our top prize will be a makeover from a qualified beautician - to be completed whilst the event is in progress!   

The event will be held on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday this time - in room 3C4 at the City of Bristol College - the same room where we held event #14 - if you haven't been there before you go through the archway and it's straight in front of you, across the courtyard. The event starts at 6:30, with the raffle to be drawn at 7pm. 

We've got a cracking sponsor lined up for July's event so we'll be able to tell you more about that on the night as well. 

As always we do not exclude men, but they must be accompanied by a Girl Geek so we don't get outnumbered! Hopefully the girliness of this event will have them running for the hills anyway.
